CADILLAC - Bowled over by Cadillac-style hospitality on a tour stop last summer, the Americanos Drum and Bugle Corps chose Cadillac for their December audition camp.

Fifty-three hopeful musicians from the Midwest camped out on the Mackinaw Trail gym floor Dec. 18-19 with hopes of making it into the prestigious Division II corps.

Once chosen, members perform throughout the United States during the summer.

Based in Menasha, Wis., the Americanos are one of the country’s oldest drum corps. They have made their reputation with Latin-style themes and outstanding drum and brass lines.
