MASSILLON: The Drum Corps International Competition will step off at 7 p.m. July 31 at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium.

The event — hosted by the Pro Football Hall of Fame Festival and Canton’s Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps — features seven corps, including four of the top five in the world.

Advance tickets can be purchased at Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, Canton and Massillon AAA offices, R&H Music, Dumont’s Seed Co. on 30th Street N.W., Gulia’s Music and Zampino’s Drum Shop.

Ticket prices range from $20 in advance and $22 at the gate for premium reserved seating to $11 adult general admission and $6 children’s (12 and under) general admission.

About 10:20 AM central time, the O-4 BD bus got into an accident about two hours north of Dallas as it entered a construction zone. It collided at 10-15 mph with a non-BD semi that stopped suddenly. There were several minor injuries that may receive medical attention as a precaution. There was only minor damage to the bus. We now have a replacement bus and are back on the road.
