  • VK of Pasadena, Calif. (Division III)
  • Mystikal of Long Beach, Calif. (Division III)

Pending approval to compete in the Pacific Division:

  • Buccaneers of Sacramento, Calif. (Division III), who are in the process of meeting Drum Corps International’s deadline for organizational details (such details usually include non-profit status, proof of insurance, music licensing, etc.)

Approved to compete in the Atlantic Division:

  • Les Stentors of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada (Division III)

Approved for exhibition in the Atlantic Division:

  • The Muchachos, Inc. of Manchester, N.H. (All-Age)
  • Crusaders Alumni of Methuen, Mass. (All-Age)

Pending approval to compete in the Atlantic Division:

  • Network of Chattanooga, Tenn. (Division III), will be re-evaluated by June 1

Approved to compete in the Central Division:

  • Frontier of Dallas, Texas (All-Age)
  • Gulf Coast Sound of Houston, Texas (All-Age)

Approved for exhibition in the Central Division:

  • Lakeshoremen of Troy, Mich. (All-Age)

Pending approval for exhibition in the Central Division:

‘Drums along the Waterfront’ goes inland

For the first time in its 11 year history, “Drums Along the Waterfront” is bringing its summertime extravaganza to the University at Buffalo Stadium in Amherst.

“Drums Across the Waterfront” will highlight works from seven top youth drum and bugle corps. The showcase is slated for 7 p.m., Friday, July 6. The event attracts several thousand fans. The featured acts include student drum and bugle corps from Santa Clara, Calif., Madison, Wisc. and Seattle, Wash.

The Mighty St. Joe’s Alumni Corps., a LeRoy-based group of corpsmen whose average age is in the 60s, will also perform.
