Ooooh, more than 55 corps will be competing this year. 10 years ago the number was about 90; 30 years ago (when I marched), the number was maybe somewhere around 175-200.

It’s my opinion that the best thing that could happen to drum corps would be for the activity to decouple itself from DCI (the current popularity of alumni corps might pave they way for such a revolution).
