Racine – The Kilties Drum and Bugle Corps is beginning preparation for the 2005 season with an open house from noon to 5 p.m. Nov. 14 at Gilmore Middle School, 2330 Northwestern Ave.
The afternoon will feature the announcement of the 2005 show and staff, audio / visual presentations, question-and-answer sessions, rehearsal time and a light meal.
The public and those interested in joining are welcome to attend.
Kilties membership includes males and females of all ages from around the Midwest who will reach the minimum age of 18 by June 1, 2005.
Younger members are accepted if a parent or parent-appointed representative is involved with the Kilties. The corps’ schedule is mostly weekends.
Openings are available in all sections, including brass, percussion and guard. Previous marching or musical experience is helpful but not required.
