The best seats in J. Birney Crum stadium are off-limits this year to thousands of Drum Corps International ticket-holders coming to Allentown in August.

Fans who purchased $30 tickets months in advance to see the DCI Eastern Classic — one of the premier events for professional marching bands in the country — thought they had reserved their place in the coveted upper bleachers where intricate formations on the field are better identified.

A sideline view from the lower level will have to suffice.
