Rules Change Process
Ten rules change proposals will be considered at the Drum Corps International Annual Meeting and Conference Weekend from Jan. 24-27 in Orlando, Fla. Instructors and corps directors during a series of caucus sessions will deliberate on these proposals according to a series of considerations including educational, creative, logistical and fiscal impacts. Those proposals that make it through the caucus sessions will be passed through to the DCI Board of Directors who will vote for a final decision.

Yay! Timothy Kviz
Boo! George Hopkins
Well now I know the names of some of the people who are ruining drum & bugle corps! Bandsmen ought to stay with bands and leave drum & bugle corps alone! Amplification of field instruments and narrations stinks from the get-go! George Hopkins and Timothy Kviz are the enemy of enjoyable drum corps!
I only go back to 1953 and the introduction of the PIT was the beginning of the mess we see and hear today on the competition field. You are playing to a deaf audience, so I guess louder is better; not to drum corps lovers.
I am glad to be done with drum corps at this point. There are too many free band performances to pay the money to see a drum and bugle wait no more bugles. Wont pay to see a drum corps band.
